In order to reach out to the children of nomadic families in the remote areas of Ladakh, and to offer disadvantaged children the chance of a decent education in their own culture, the school offers a number of sponsored places. This is one of the most important humanitarian functions of the school.
Full Sponsorship
The full cost of sponsoring a residential child is £30/€45/US$60 per month (this is the amount you pay). This covers all the costs of accommodation, house-mothers, schooling, meals, uniform, medical care and so on.
Part Sponsorship
If this amount is too expensive for you, then there are still ways you can participate, such as sharing sponsorship with a friend, or part sponsorship. Alternatively, you could sponsor a day pupil for £10/€15/US$20 per month.
What do sponsors recieve?
"We hope you will enjoy happiness from giving a child a chance to flourish."
We will send you a photograph of your child soon after your sponsorship starts. Each year their teacher will write a report on their progress and achievements, and we will send you a copy. Why not view an example sponsorship pack?
Our Sponsorship Committee will review family circumstances on an annual basis to check if sponsorship is still needed and can be used effectively.
