Ambedkar Jayanti Day, 14th April, is an annual festival holiday to commemorate the birthday of Dr. B.R.Ambedkar, founding father of the Indian constitution.
Ambedkar was a strong advocator of social equality, right to dignity and a social reformer.
The students of DPKS took part in a procession through the town of Leh organized by the Ladakh Buddhist Association to demand the Bhoti language to be included in the 8th schedule of the Indian constitution.
The event created a massive procession involving lots of schools in and around the town with slogans, placards and essay competitions to mark the importance of the day.
