The "Dragonites" lived up to the tradition of lifting umpteen event categories of the: District Tournament and swirled the DPKS flag into the Turquoise blue skies , making the" power packed PERFORMER's hearts swell with mixed elevating emotions !! Our 1st guest speaker of the" Inspire to Aspire"-a new addition to the school's year long prog was none other than the son of the soil, Mr.Stanzin Gya, who made us all hold our heads high with pride as he created a big buzz globally, for his soulful creation and multi award wining film "The Shepherdess of the Glacier". As they say: "Blood is thicker than water and roots call roots....it was without a speck of doubt, a very connecting tale of indomitable spirit paving way toward a remarkable achievement ! We hope such prog in the fold shall create that" spark" which we wish for our children.

Druk Padma Karpo School is honored and privileged to have entered as an official name in the list of member Schools in India with the Korean Cultural Centre ,which plays mammoth role at national as well as International level...to promote inter-culture faith,respect and awareness & student's prog exchanges.This collaboration is a seed hoping to bear fruitful results to boost the student's confidence and outlook.Here seen are; Mr.Kim (Director of Korean Cultural Centre) and Ms.Stanzin Kunzang (Principal Druk Padma Karpo,School) exchanging the entered pact.

Chemet Angmo, the young Dragonite of 8th grade did us proud by bagging the 1st prize for inter-school Bhoti Dramatics held at Lamdon Model School in #Leh. it was an overwhelming chase contested by 10 major private schools of #Ladakh. This was a joint initiative by Lamdon school and the Art and Culture Department of Leh. We heartily congratulate the laureate!

A group of 12 teachers from the Govt; primary school, Spituk were welcomed to tour and explore all areas of scholastic and non scholastic at DPKS... to sort and pick all possibilities.....to take back to their respective setup as an enhancement where ever needed. DPKS was delighted to play the role of a model school and extended help like a perfect sister school. The teacher guests intently looked through all teaching aids interacted with the host teachers, met with students, visited classes, the heads exchanged views and suggestion over a cup of tea.....but the final outcome was beautiful and undivided....EDUCATION--A POWERFUL COMMON PLATFROM!!

The entire family of DPKS rejoices the commendable feat of Stanzin Namdol of Standard 9th , who bagged the medallion for the second position in the Inter School District long distance running organized by the District Youth Service and Sports of Leh – Ladakh. Heartiest congratulations Namdol.

Ambedkar Jayanti Day, 14th April, is an annual festival holiday to commemorate the birthday of Dr. B.R.Ambedkar, founding father of the Indian constitution. Ambedkar was a strong advocator of social equality, right to dignity and a social reformer. The students of DPKS took part in a procession through the town of Leh organized by the Ladakh Buddhist Association to demand the Bhoti language to be included in the 8th schedule of the Indian constitution. The event created a massive procession involving lots of schools in and around the town with slogans, placards and essay competitions to mark the importance of the day.

The atmosphere at DPKS picked up great momentum with the posters of different candidates covering nearly the entire campus. The students eagerly engaged themselves along with the teachers to prepare for the polls to re-elect the new 2016 student council. Congratulations to the new student council.

1st of March : Druk Padma Karpo, school re-opened after a prolong winter break of nearly 85 days in a highly celebrative spirit ,post the stupendous and outstanding “BOARD RESULTs”secured by the students of std 10th, that appeared for their public exams-2015. The entire team of teachers and support staff headed by the Chair person and the Principal take great pride and pleasure in heartily CONGRATULATING the competent performers !! And wish our fresh batch of Ex. students ,Unceasing success in their future endeavors. Amidst, high energy , the kids swarmed in the campus very proudly ,each of them carrying eye catching ,HOLIDAY projects to present and submit to their respective Heads for Evaluations! The school also had the pure honor and privilege of playing Instrumental part in celebrating the joint B’ Day of H.Holiness and H.Eminence’s this winter, under the host ship of the young Drukpa Association (YDA),Leh. The school in this manner obtained DUAL blessings required for an auspicious recommencement of our Wonderful school!

31st , Oct : Druk Padma assessed its final academic evaluation and declared its final results as its annual proclamation day amidst throng of students and parents. Awards, certifications, trophies,medallions and other forms of appreciations were conferred on the students as well as teachers during the fore-noon prog. Post lunch- was designed to meet the last session PTM-2015, in the presence of the school management committee chaired by H.Eminence Thuksey Rinpochey. We congratulate our kids for the wonderful and progressive results achieved !!

Amidst high energy and enthusiasm, the DPKS team joyously celebrated its 14th year of completion as a school. The evening of celebration was embellished with multiple performances by the students, which included the debut performance of the school's band "The White Lotus Band". The evening was graced by Mr. Tsering Dorjey Lakrook, Minister of Cooperative, J&K State as the special guest, other present were dignitaries, scholars, principals, supporters, parents and special guests from Delhi's Sanskriti school and Bluebells International school. On this occasion official and formal exchanges were made by the DPKS with these two premier school of the capital declaring DPKS as their sister school. The event concluded with a formal dinner for all the guest hosted by the school's Chairperson His Eminence Skyabje Drukpa Thuksey Rinpoche.

His Eminence Thuksey Rinpoche, Chair of Druk Padma Karpo Educational Society (DPKES), organised a special condolence assembly of all students and staff on 26th June 2014 in memory of Philip Cornwell who died that morning aged 67.

Dr. Philip Cornwell, Trustee of Drukpa Trust, had a successful career in transport planning before becoming involved in the Druk White Lotus School, eventually becoming its international project manager and raising hundreds of thousands of pounds for the school.
